As many already know, our Canadian neighbors are very passionate about hockey and in particular the NHL, however what about those in the U.S.? Which U.S. cities have the most passionate fans and well attended games on a regular basis?
My vote goes to Raleigh, being a one major-league sport town, the Carolina Hurricanes really show up for their home team.

If you're going to replace North Carolina with Raleigh and Florida with Miami(Panthers don't play there) you should substitute NNJ with Newark. But I guess you can't edit your own poll which sucks.
And I vote for Philly(hate them) with Minnesota a close second.
I would have voted Detroit. I picked a few since it was hard to choose (and Detroit wasn't on there), but I think Detroit would be my number one.
In order:
1) Detroit
1a) Philadelphia (also hate them)
2) Buffalo
3) Boston
4) Pittsburgh
Philly is a good hockey town, not sure if number 2 but up there (The Burgh is also a pretty good hockey town)- I agree in the NHL Detroit is number one. Minneapolis would seem to be a wildcard as hockey as a whole is larger there than any other major US city.
BTW we will see your Bruins at the bank on Jan 2nd (in the winter classic) and will see your Sox at the bank on Tuesday!

Yeah. I always sort of forget about the Minnesota Wild. It's certainly a big hockey state. I always thought Philadelphia fans were pretty passionate about the Flyers. Bruins fans have a VERY solid group of diehards. However, it's smaller than everyone would have you believe. Pittsburgh has great sports fans in general. I still think Detroit has the best in the NHL though.
The Winter Classic should be fun. I'm looking forward to it. I just jumped on the Bruins bandwagon during the playoff run (I'm not a big hockey fan) but I love the Winter Classics. The one at Fenway was one hell of a game.
I'm mostly a baseball fan. With our injuries (and no DH), and your dominant pitching staff, Philly terrifies me. Well they scare me anyway, but even more now with a cast of AAA guys making up the bottom 1/3 of the order. I've never seen such a good rotation. Ever. I do think that the Sox and the Phillies are the two best teams in baseball by a large margin (in terms of talent, anyway. there's a reason they play the games). Looking forward to this series.
Hockey is huge in Minnesota but there are a lot of hockey fans who don't follow the NHL, they prefer college or local high school. If we were talking hockey overall I would say Twin Cities, but for NHL only I think it is Detroit.
