phoenix and san jose do noot belong anywhere near tier 4
Im sorry but, that is a crazy statement...i mean, Phoenix is under Denver? Minneapolis? Seattle?...If you are only going off of skyline or some other aspect, this is totally wrong!

CD is the poster child for recycling.
These conversations keep coming up again and again.
anyway, I answered that exact question earlier today.
So let me get your feedback on the topic.
why do you think Phoenix should be above Denver, MSP, Seattle??
I don't think its above. I just don't see why people put it so far behind the other cities when they all have the same things.
well then I agree. I think Phoenix is best placed with Seattle, Denver, MSP, Detroit etc for the time being. in population it wipes the floor with all the others, but in other aspects it is on par with the others. We will have to see if the other aspects catches up to the population growth and out paces the others.
Seattle is the one punching above its weight. smaller metro but doing well in a variety of things.
I know there have been threads already like this but I tried to do my own. If you agree or disagree let me know. Should any cities be changed?? Here's the list:
Tier 1: New York
Tier 2: Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C.
Tier 3: San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Boston
Tier 4: Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, San Diego, Detroit
Tier 4a: St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Baltimore
Tier 5: Portland, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Orlando, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Phoenix, Tampa
Tier 6: Austin, San Antonio, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Saramento, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Columbus, Salt Lake City
I think this list is pretty accurate or maybe I'm just biased from my own opinion, haha. Sorry if I forgot any cities and feel free to change my list.
Not sure if this has been posted but Wiki has a compiled list of global cities ranked by things such as economic, political, cultural and infrastructural characteristics. Though it includes cities from all over the world, the American cities are
Alpha++: New York Alpha+: Chicago Alpha: Los Angeles, SF, Washington DC Alpha-: Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Philly, Miami Beta+: Houston Beta: Minneapolis, Seattle Beta-: Denver, Detroit, San Diego, St Louis Gamma+: Charlotte, Cincinnati, Portland, San Jose Gamma: Columbus, Indianapolis, KCMO, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Tampa Gamma-: Austin, Milwaukee, Orlando, Richmond
I suppose these could be tiers. Some cities might seem to be in odd places, but here is the link,
