I thought about it for a while............................. Most people are just being smart arses & throwing industrial cities who helped build this country into the powerhouse it is (how ungrateful) under the bus; I nominate Reno, Nevada. There is just no real reason for it to exist. A bloated one horse town with gambling.

I'm sure the people of the ill fated city would miss it. Question, who would miss the people? On a side note, considering that a terrorist can kill a dozen people on the other side of the earth and it still makes national headlines proves that a city or town of just a few hundred would be sorely missed. Not just by the nation, but by the families living in other areas.

Lol, I think the Billy Joel song goes something like this;

"They blew the Bronx away,
They said that Queens could stay,
and sank Manhattan out at sea!"

4. Omaha, Nebraska
5. Kansas City, Missouri
WOW!! Im finding this one hard to belive!
Tulsa- aint that big of a deal but it also aint the little town seeting outside the crappy city limits.
MILWAUKEE--> This is one that amazes me. this is actually a major city tons of business and with metro area of 1,740,000 (I rounded that) it would displace som much stuff!
Anchorage-->well it aint like a Milwaukee but it is all the alaskans really have except Juneau. but the alaskan people would shurley know the difference its a hub for the whole entire state.
Omaha-->aint too big but has so F500 and I think one F1000 Mutual Life. but it is an insurance hub
Kansas City--> thats another one I dont get how you could say if it dropped off the face of the planet no one would know! How is that?!

Everything between Greenville, NC and Raleigh, North Carolina could fall off the map and no one would really care. Let alone realize that it was missing

It doesn't have to be a city like Detroit. It can be anywhere in the US, like Branson MO, or for most of the people in this forum, Phoenix.

And now that I think about it, Chicago's pretty expendable too. We don't need a New York junior.
ohh u damn animal, keep chicago out of this.
