Detroit? While it may be declining, it is still a very important American city...trust me it would be missed enough.
It's important because it's the gateway to Canada. You can have you world headquarters in DT Detroit and across the river you can have your Canadian headquarters. It's a good thing the auto industry is in Detroit or else there would be Canadian car companies. Same thing with factories too--Ford has two plants in Windsor and Chrysler has one also.
Again -- enough with these "Here's your chance to tell other people their city sucks!" threads. Please. They are mean-spirited, disruptive, unproductive, divisive and unnecessary.
"Fargo is a busy little city that has grown despite its North Dakota heritage. It is very important to its state as well as to western MN. Not many people in those parts, but to them, Fargo's very important, a regional center for commerce, health care, culture and transportation."
I agree! I find Fargo to be a place I can stick around for a while. It needs to work on its inferiority complex to the Twin Cities, though, and realize its self-worth and blossom into something awesome, the potential is here.
Oh ... nomination ... Yuma, Ariz. Most miserable 18 months of my life. St. Louis can go, too.

And the winner is... Abilene, Texas. If you haven't been there you just wouldn't know.
Actually, it is disappearing as the populace move north and south, leaving the center of the city to rot. Nobody cares and nobody is going to do anything about it.
