Also, what's GWAC? Google isn't helping and a search of the forum grew tedious real fast.
What ever the global city list is I swore it was GWAC, also what made you think MSA right away?

Yeah, keep dreaming. DC CSA is #2 on the east coast as far as population and GDP are concerned. It's the third largest economy in the United States.

Nowhere near NYC? Well, no U.S. city is, so what's your point?

Nothing in particular. If we stuck to city limits, Boston can't beat Philly in GDP anyhow. I have a bone to pick with CSA definitions. Philadelphia should have Princeton and much of central Jersey in its CSA, and especially Trenton. Boston gets to have Providence, that's just not fair. Lack of commuter rail obscures the amount of exchange that occurs between Philly and central Jersey under that metric.

Concord, NH Micro Area
Manchester-Nashua, NH Metro Area $20,865
Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, RI-MA Metro Area $64,341

Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD Metro Area $335,112
Reading, PA Metro Area $14,588
Vineland-Millville-Bridgeton, NJ Metro Area $4,873
I think CSA's are too overreaching and pointless.

I will have to go with Philly on this one.
As an MSA and City it is bigger, larger economy, it is more racially diverse, I prefer its location over Bostons, All though Boston wins on education, Philly is no slouch either, both have excellent history and played important roles in the founding, but Philly was chosen as capital......what else??

I dunno, I just like Philly better

Well remember Boston Cant spread to the east so rather than a 20 mile radii circle from city hall, it's a 40 mile semi circle.

All that matters is CSA. No tweaking allowed.

It doesn't matter whether You think it's "pointless."

And East of Philly is Jersey's Pinelands National Reserve, that's not about to be developed, either.

So Boston has Blue Hills the largest preserve in a major Metroplitain area plus the Atlantic ocean and Naragansett bay which won't be devloped.
