It's late and I blame it on the drought.

lol, just messing.

anyway, I don't even think Polk county will be part of Houston's MSA anytime soon, let alone Angelina County.

Lufkin if about 45 Miles from Houston's mSA and about 100 miles from DFW. It won't be joining a mega metro anytime soon.

Actually Htownlove you need to get out more because as your heading south toward Houston from Lufkin on 59s the sign say 45 miles to Livingston which is in Houston msa but Lufkin is growing fast as well with connected small burbs which makes it large as Tyler,tx if not bigger.
They are already connect to two cities in the county which is Burke and DIboll so if connect to the Houston Msa that would be 25 miles away starting at Diboll not 45 miles and that could happen in a day lol.....
Lufkin is growing so fast construction is going on all over the city, don't believe me look at Texas Department of Transportation website at future plans in the Lufkin vincinity and the next 5yrs will be shocking to everyone.Lufkin will be the only city in east texas under 100,000 ppl in the city limits with two mix masture one already on the south end and the other already about to begin on the north end in the next 5yrs.
Lufkin loop 70% freeway and the rest about to upgrade.

Well if you mean development then yes, things will pop up in between the two.
But if you mean added to the MSA, then no. College Station and even Victoria would be swallowed up my the MSA before Lufkin.
furthermore, Livingston is in Polk County, which is not in Houston's MSA.

Nah. I was in the ball park. (that is if your figure is correct).

its not a major county in Texas, so the exact figure is not necessary
