I think thats true on height even vs Library tower. It will be a great add to LA though. The demolition for Wilshire Grand is complete and digging going on....
Yeah that area is going to be a pretty awesome in a few years with the completion of this tower and surrounding plaza, the Macy's Plaza is getting a major renovation (punching street-facing retail into the fortress-like walls), Fig @ 7th has been renovated and is getting some big new tenants (Sports Chalet, CityTarget, Zara). Hopefully that giant parking lot across the from the Fig @ 7th mall gets developed into something interesting as well, it is certainly large enough.
Also that is a good quote from Edluva from SSP, and I do agree to some extent (though I think the poster is a bit of an anti-LA troll in general).
All of the skylines on the West Coast are garbage but Seattle Skyline stands out because of the bodies of water and mountains in the background. San Fran skyline is garbage but once you add the mountains/Golden Gate Bridge and the bay to the background of it it becomes beautiful

Garbage? Garbage compared to what? New York? Chicago?

I'm talking about in General. Like I said just comparing the skyline isn't anything worth talking about but once you add those other dynamics the skyline is beautiful

I think if you took away the mountains in LA, or mountains and water in the case of SF and Seattle, all three skylines would still rival most other cities in the U.S.
I did give this one to Seattle, even though I'm partial in this comparison. What I did not realize is that Seattle's 5 tallest buildings are quite impressive and in fact taller than those in SF. Here's a little diagram I put together of the 10 tallest buildings in LA, SF and Seattle.

Don't push it. That's a little too far.
