Could someone explain what the Alabama plate means? How and why did the stars fall on Alabama? Seriously.

NH's looks the "coolest" simply for the best motto sprawled across any plate...."Live free or die". Nuff said. If I were judging by pure graphics, Pennsylvania's green plate featuring the Siberian tiger also would top the list.
Worst: RI- bland and blander. Indiana- "Amber Waves of Grain"? I thought this was a joke at first. I think thanfully that one though has come and gone.

"Stars Fell on Alabama" is a famous 1934 song written by Frank Perkins and Mitchell Parrish that refers to a meteor shower that occurred in 1833 over the state of Alabama. You never heard of it? Find it on Youtube (everybody's sung it, even Jimmy Buffett), play it...I'll bet you've heard it.
Cheers.

I always thought Texas has a really cool plate. It has numerous images to really capture the essence of the state well, like the cowboy riding across the plains and the space shuttle above.

Washington D.C. is very unusual for having what is basically a poltical slogan on the plate "Taxation Without Representation".

i know it looks weird that im quoting myself but thats ok. if anyones wondering why DE's is in my top 15 is that i actully like it. its so simple but thats why i like it. but everystate has a good license plate because its unique to that place.
