You have an outdated stereotype of Minneapolis if you think all the women are tall, blond and Nordic looking. The city is highly diversified, more so than it gets credit for. 40% of the city is non-white, which I would argue is more diversified that are cities like DC or Atlanta that are 70% black but get credit for diversification because they are so little white. Minneapolis has meaningful, if not significant populations of Black American, Somali, Hmong (in conjunction w/ St. Paul) and Latina. Add in large groups of non-Nordic population including Italian, Jewish, etc. and the days of the blond, Scandinavian majority is long past.
Please don't hate. Minneapolis has some of the most beautiful women.

As a Minneapolis resident...

Culture: Charlotte - more diverse, larger city limit population, closer to other major metro areas
Education: Minneapolis - stats point in its favor
Entertainment: Charlotte - more bars, clubs, museums, etc
Diversity: Charlotte no question
Transit/Transportation: Tie
Urbanity: Eh, Minneapolis has a large MSA, but Charlotte's is more concentrated, and definitely feels more urban. Most of Minneapolis feels like a suburb
Weather: Charlotte, while Minneapolis residents will feign TIE!!! IT'S TOO HOT THERE. It is objectively more livable for a human in Charlotte. You will die in Minneapolis without cover in Winter. Summer in Charlotte might give you heat stroke if you're incredibly unlucky.
Jobs: Minneapolis
making friends: Nothing could be harder than making friends in Minneapolis, especially compared to a southern town.

As per usual, the Minneapolis try hards will come to attack me about my claims.

Isn't Charlotte one of the least urban, most suburban like cities in the entire country or has the urban fabric of that city changed drastically over night?

And up to 45 above this weekend. They say, in Minnesota, if you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes. Haha.
Traffic is very light today since schools are closed and a lot of people are working from home.
This is the coldest is has been here in 25 or so years.

Yes, you would pick a day with an unusually low temp. It's headed east, now. Tells me something, that you had to resort to this. It will be in the 40's later this week.

I don't know if I would call the changes in Charlotte's urban character 'drastic', but they are definitely making some inroads.
