LOL, interesting comparison. I've never spent any time in JAX so I can't really compare. Anchorage, AK is actually bigger than RI with 1697 square miles, you could stack those two up as well.

It's hard for me to do the criteria, but I would rather live in Duval. Rhode Island is too cold and it doesn't seem very exciting. But I wouldn't mind being that close to NYC or Boston.

^That's because it's the second biggest. I didn't really mean to say it's not exciting, it's more than likely is. It just doesn't interest me.

I live in Pawtucket RHODE ISLAND NOW FOR OVER 22 years I love it because is not a fast paste state but I'm moving to Florida to try my luck. Rhode Island is the 2nd state to have the highest no job rate. and everything is high cost A regular house with 3 bedroom 1 bathroom a basement in a level 2 neighborhood 1 being the worst and 5 best place to live will run you $140,000 mortgage will be $1600 and the house will need some work. Even after all the I still like RHODE ISLAND the big problem is the state is so small everybody knows everyone is make me mad. I'm going to miss NFL SEASON PATRIOTS I LIVE 15 from foxboro stadium plus redsox will miss you. Ooo yeah is very cold and all you can eat seafood fresh there the best anywhere

Not entirely some of it is due to the fact that the best art school in the country and one of the best in the world is located in the city. And just for perspective Worcester, Ma is actually the second largest by population in New England and it is not nearly as exciting so it is not entirely because of population.

Not to Mention, Providence has Providence College, and URI. As well as a much more "wild" nightlife than Boston with more clubs and such, while Boston is almost exclusively bars.
