I think NYC wins all of these categories except schools and maybe safety, both of which go to Boston.
I think Boston gets those two categories but I can see why many would prefer Boston to the others as a place to live, its a reputably desirable city. It's also less expensive than NYC but has a desirability effect to it. For me its NYC, more excitement and affluence.
- Scenery: Very Close but Boston, New York, Philly
- Schools: Boston, Philly, New York
- Dining: Subjective but New York, Philly, Boston
- Arts: New York, tie Boston, Philly
- Museums: Tie, all 3 cities have great museums.
- Transit: New York, Boston, Philly.
- Safety: Boston, Philly, New York
- Best suburbs: Philly, New York, Boston
- Beaches: Boston, Philly, New York. Going off jersey shore for NY and Philly
- Nightlife: New York, Philly, Boston
- Pro Sports: Currently Philly, Boston, New York
- Urban neighborhoods: New York, Philly, Boston
- Shopping: New York, tie Boston, Philly
- Jobs: Tough but New York, Boston, Philly. I think there is a way better opportunity for jobs in the Philly suburbs over the city. However, Philly has the highest potential for new job growth out of those 3 cities.
