Miami is the only one on your list that I have never been to.

And the reason, is that I have never had any desire to go there! I have not been that far south in Florida except Key West, but we got there by ship.

Been to them all.

Dallas - spent a week there in the late 1990's. Had a really good time. Almost thought about moving there until I came to Chicago.

Houston - spent two days there in the late 1990's and have been through the airport. It was ok.

Atlanta - spent two days there in Buckhead and downtown. SO MANY TREES! It was a nice looking city, although we kept commenting that we didn't even feel like we were in a city because it was so wooded. I'm use to Chicago where you can at least get a grasp of the city since it's flat and not as wooded. Atlanta was certainly pretty though.

Miami - spent two days there a few years ago. Had fun.

NYC - been there 7 times. Have a lot of fun, love that you don't need a car.

Chicago - live here.

You'll know what it explains when your jaw drops and drop your taco after seeing Chicago and NY. They aren't anything like sunbelt cities you have been to, then you will see what all the hype is about and why they clobber Houston even more than you probably think now. You'll also see Atlanta and how it compares very well to Houston and it's intricacies.

OK, your point is??? I've never spoke bad about Chicago or NYC. Never thought they were like sunbelt cities as well; try directing this misguided BS elsewhere.

Why would you target Austin?

There is no manufacturing going on in that city.

I don't think that poster was literally talking about "manufacturing". They were just saying they really didn't have a reason to go to Dallas or Houston...
