Here is my new top 20 neighborhoods in no order. I don't see the appeal with Corktown or Fountain Square, please defend...and please replace some of my Cleveland ones! (Dinkytown or Whittier, Minneapolis? Walker's Point, Milwaukee? Greektown, Detroit?)
For KC, here are some pics from Plaza, Westport, River Market, Xroads (apparently one of largest gallery districts in country) and see second page for W Bottoms. The older Midwest cities have a lot more urban hoods but KC has a good number of functional ones from Downtown/Midtown to Plaza. Downtown has 3 warehouse districts with nearly 100 buildings that have been converted to lofts - River Market, Xroads and W Bottoms.

The community is called Excelsior and Grand in Saint Louis Park. check it out on Google streetview
