For KC, here are some pics from Plaza, Westport, River Market, Xroads (apparently one of largest gallery districts in country) and see second page for W Bottoms. The older Midwest cities have a lot more urban hoods but KC has a good number of functional ones from Downtown/Midtown to Plaza. Downtown has 3 warehouse districts with nearly 100 buildings that have been converted to lofts - River Market, Xroads and W Bottoms.
