Huh? Houston? I've never heard of it being involved w electronica or techno...let alone be part of the foundation
It was definitely a hotspot in the late 80's-early 90's. Furthermore, if you had listened to radio stations during that time frame (which were then more of a representation of each city's tastes than you'll find nowadays), the radio stations (93Q, Energy 96.5, Power 104) were heavily influenced by the club scene in Houston (Club 6400, Power Tools, etc).
Well, now you know. Houston also had a higher than usual percentage of gays living there during that time as well. Now, it doesn't seem to have as high a percentage.
this is true, though in the mid to late 90s into maybe 01-2 it was nyc. I much preferred that time in NYC than the current hipster age. Was a good time to live in NYC for sure, though I mostly just visited. I think probably 85-94 the place to be was Chicago. I still have yet to see anything as good and crazy as my visits to nyc around 97-01 in the U.S.

Post all the links to the Houston scene, doesn't make it true. Houston electonica club scene is low quality and always has been
