What city has the best club scene for electronica/house music?
No hip-hop involved...

Perhaps Detroit, the birthplace of Techno.

Detroit has and most likely always will have a vibrant techno scene, from house to ghettotech.

Miami has a good one from everything I've heard, owing largely to the party, wealthy, latin, and/or gay community(ies). Lots of Euro DJ's sweep through town.

NYC has a good scene, as does LA. SF's is pretty minor.

I would think Chicago for house music. I was born and raised in Miami and can tell you edm is large there. I started spinning drum and bass at the age of 14 living in Miami because I was so exposed to it with Ak1200 being from Fl. Breaks was also large in Orlando with Icey and Baby Ann.

You would think, but I'd say no... Even though it started there the scene developed better in other cities. I'd say it's better in NYC, Miami and LA. Could be a promoters thing. Chicago is good, but those are better at this point and have been for at least around 10 years in my experience. Those cities have a much larger "club" scene. I'd put Miami in the #1 slot pound for pound.

Montreal, although their scene is more progressive house and trance. SF is up there too.

Houston founded the legitimate electronica and techno scene. Mainly because of the easy drug distribution. But to answer the question, Houston and Dallas.
