Murder rate does not equal violent crime ratings.

Thanks for pointing that out. Doesn't change the fact that New Orleans murder rates is one of the worst in the US.

This.

Who in hell would go to a strip club in the daytime? That's when the rejects and rookies have their shifts.

Deadbeat daddies, divorcees, the unemployed, dirty old men, etc.

However, NOLA is. The crime rate is off the charts and through the roof, facts prove it. The crime in NOLA should definately be factored in when walking those dangerous streets to party.
Well thats what makes it a party I guess. If you want to party safely then do it at home. Most major cities have crime and that's a risk you have to take when being there. In my opinion the more dangerous the streets the better the party will likely be. But thats just me. Perhaps you would prefer to party at Disney or Mcdonalds play place lol. I understand not everyone wants to party in a dangerous place because stray bullets suck but just because NOLA has crime and murder rates "off the charts" doesn't change the fact that the nightlife there is great.

Easily New Orleans. There is also plenty to do in Atlanta and Austin. I haven't gone out enough in the other places to really comment.

When it comes to accent in New Orleans most people around the country are unaware that the city actually has 9 different dialects that evolved many generations and most associate it with just Cajun accent which is false. The city's most common accent is the Yat dialect. New Orleans is the only city in the south that has gotten it's accent from the same immigrant stock as New York. The same stock that New York and New Orleans got their accents which is why some outsiders mistaken some of the locals for being a New Yorker because of the YAt tawk. New Orleans accent is far more diverse with different old generation dialects because it's a much older city than Atlanta for time to evolve for it's own identity. The culture in NO is pretty solid which makes it more unique around the world for it's music, accents to food.

NO's Yat dialect is an accent similar to Brooklynese accent in New York. Just listen to the commentator's accent. Unless you count a 1st generation New Yorker living in Atlanta that city doesn't have the Yat dialect like NO. I believe it is much more common in the city's Lower 9th Ward.
