If you prefer Houston, you prefer Houston. Me personally, I think Austin deserves more mention than it has been getting. But nightlife is subjective, just like quality of life. But Miami Beach in general has a more 24/7 party atmosphere than most of those cities except for NO.
Is Miami Beach a part of Miami proper? Or am I thinking of South Beach? Anyway, that's like Newark claiming CC Phily.

Newark is about 2hrs from Philly. Miami Beach is 5mins from Miami. Not a very good comparison.

No but it might as well be... definitely not same as newark and cc.
Even if you just included Miami Beach... it will still win. It's like 2-3 miles over the bridge, which is equivalent to 16-24 blocks... It's a 4-5 minute cab ride. While Miami isn't so great on subways, they do have a substantial taxi fleet.

And this right here is one of the things that irritates the hell out of me the most. Half of y'all are so quick to play the hater card anytime someone says something you don't like. Face someone's comments head on, or just don't bother responding.

Then again, I'm not sure if you're just being facetious or not.

Miami/Miami Beach is just a quick ride over the bridge from each other. In that case, they should rename the NY Jets/Giants to the NJ Jets/Giants.

I'd say no... as Miami AND Miami beach have great night life. Miami Beach more so... but when I used to go down there in the late 90s early 00s, I'd end up in Miami and not Miami beach as that is where a lot of the late hours warehouse clubs were right past Biscayne Boulevard.

Just because puffy combs and a bunch of coked up wanna be models go to a club does not make a nightlife great

Same goes for Atlanta... why is Atlanta nightlife so great, because Soulja Boy and little Jon say so?

Geez

Anyways, I voted Houston because of the sheer diversity of nightlife and New Orleans as a close second
Amen.

That 24/7 is only one measure of "nightlife." And personally I find that aspect over-rated. The late night neon Asian food-culture en masse all along Bellaire Blvd, for example. Can we find that in Miami or New Orleans? (Probably not like in Houston, for sure.)

A lot of those Taiwanese, Chinese and Vietnamese do like to gather late for food, snacks and some lounging/singing...but then go home in a bit. Houston has it going on in the nightlife category. From downtown to the Montrose to Rice Village to Washington Ave to...

Yep, people don't understand this. Club Space is one example. Don't stray too far from the club area. Especially since Overtown is in the midst.
