Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not sure why this fued between two malls is getting so intense. I haven't been to WEM, but have been to the MOA. I thought it was fine, but my favorite mall is Oakbrook in Chicago. I love outdoor malls. I also love the new Bayshore Mall in Milwaukee, that's designed to look like a downtown area. Not nearly as many good stores (and not the best in Milwaukee), but I love anything outside the big box of a mall.

^ I agree, i feel there are many better malls in North America than these two. My favorite is 16th street mall and Southlands Mall in Denver

Mall of America has more visitors. Why? Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport.
Airports has international direct flight's to cities like Paris, Tokyo, Amsterdam and London.

I like to window shop the streets of Manhattan. I don't think I'd enjoy WEM or MOA. If I want to go to a mall I'd rather go to a normal sized mall, If I want to go to an amusement park I'd rather go to Six Flags. I really don't want to go to one place to do all that in one day. I just don't see the appeal of going to a water park and shopping in the same day. Once I do one of those activities I usually just want to go home.

Haha good point but these huge malls are built for us lazy people

Here in the Twin Cities you could shop Uptown MPLS, Go to Valley Fair amusement park . But hey why not go to the Mall of America and do it all under one roof lol

It's great for cities with harsh winters such as Minneapolis and Edmonton. It's difficult to enjoy a theme park or outdoor shopping when it's below freezing outside. And it makes complete sense.

Here in Southern California, we have the mild weather where outdoor activities aren't limited due to harsh conditions so a mega indoor entertainment/shopping complex wouldn't make much sense.

Outdoor lifestyle centers seem to be the new thing though and the traditional roofed malls seem to be on a decline.

West Edmonton Mall is amazing 10 world class attractions including a waterpark and amusement park! They are renovating and it looks fantastic even have a dancing musical fountain!!! West Edmonton gets over 30 million visitors and given there are less people in Canada it is just as popular. Both malls are great but need to vote for WEM!!
