I think Chicago and NYC are greater cities than Los Angeles. But it's subjective everyone will have a different opinion. But I would rather live in L.A.

I know what you mean. I just don't feel that Chicago is on the same level of greatness as LA.
Minneapolis seems to fit into all of these categories. We have a good location but just no large cities within a reasonable driving distance (even though that's not really that big of a deal)
But we have great education, skyline, parks, transportation, good cost of living and major airport
