New Mexico's flag is definitely my favorite, but I also like SC and California. Wyoming, Texas, Alaska, and Tennessee have cool flags too. Maryland's flag is also one of my favorites.

Actually, it looks JUST LIKE North Carolina's flag...

There's nothing special about Texas' flag... So it has a star... How many flags have stars? So it's Red, White and Blue... "Boy, THAT's original..."

Other than those 2 aspects, there's NOTHING else to it...

But, everyone's entitled to their opinions... Just don't understand.

New list (after 2nd thought):

1. Maryland - No other state compares to it's uniqueness. Also, highly represented in the State and even represented in sports well (Ravens & University of Maryland).
2. New Mexico - Very cool symbol and the bright yellow & simplicity jumps out at you. Would look VERY cool as a tattoo or even sports team logo.
3. Arizona - Very unique and represented well in the state & in media. Easily recognizable.
4. South Carolina - Unique, the arrangement is great, simple, represented well in the state.
5. Oklahoma - Very cool tribute to Native Americans. Unique colors used.
6. California - Only state with a bear on the flag and VERY easily recognizable.
7. Ohio - Only flag not rectangle shaped. Very unique in that.
8. Alaska - The constellation and North Star represented is very cool & unique.
9. Washington - Only dominantly green flag and has a President's face. Looks a lot like a dollar. Very cool.
10. Wyoming - The Bison makes it cool.

The Louisiana State Flag is awesome. It has a mother pelican tearing at her breast to feed her children, it symbolizes the state caring for its people.

^^^ And yet historically the state of Louisiana has done a very poor job taking care of her people ...

The one star represents Texas as being The Lone Star State, and I happen to like it.

Also Texas is the only state to have the flags of 6 different nations fly over it. They are: Spain, France, Mexico, Republic of Texas, Confederate States, and the United States.
