I heard that when the new WTC in NY is built you will see it on the top floor of the Comcast Center in Philly (on a clear day of course) Anyone else hear this?

The two buildings on the left have been there for about 4 years now.

highrise/doorman/all amenity condo buildings, chicago kills all but nyc. not even a close contest really.
that is another aspect of "city life" that I prefer about Chicago to other non-NYC locales.

Chicago clearly owns this "crown." This is not surprising, given the metro has about 3.5 million more folks than Philly and is over twice as large as Boston.

Philly certainly has its share of high-rise condos, however. Here's a snapshot of one cluster on the east side:

I agree... Philly is certainly no slouch in this category.

Here's a really cool video I found that really showcases the density of Philly. Most of the buildings in the foreground are residential...most of the ones in the background are offices or commercial

1706 Rittenhouse Square Street - YouTube

Here is a few that line the Parkway... the ones on the left are Residential.. the ones on the right are office buildings.

Here is one that shows some of the highrises that line the parkway

And the mass of residential highrises surrounding Rittenhouse Square

the thing is, almost all of these you see in the foreground are residential...

Chicago Photo Shop
So ask yourself, does Boston or Philly look like this? No.

As are all of these going down the lake which is about a 10 mile stretch give or take.

My statistic formulating skills are a bit rusty but my B.S. meter is going bonkers on this claim.

No one is arguing... Chicago is OBVIOUSLY the clear winner lol. We we're just showing some of Philly off =). In my opinion... Philly beats Boston in residential highrise, but Chicago KICKS THE HELL out of Philly and Boston combined.

In fact... we would probably have to add Miami to the mix to even come close to Chicago...
