Default All Snowiest US Cities

Below are most of the US cities and how much snow they have so far for the 2011 – 2012 season. We will try and update the snow stats as often as possible. There are still several cities in the United States missing as we try to locate their snowfall totals. For the time being we have left out many of the cities for the fact that unless something unexpectedly happens they most likely don’t have a shot at winning the Golden Snow Globe Award.
The first number is the current place the city is on the snow mountain. The second number is where the city was at the end of the last update.. Once all of the cities have snow we will be changing it to where the city started this season and the latest place they are in. Just to give an idea of how the snowiest city is doing through out this snow season.

As a resident of #2 on the list, I can tell you that the list is wholly misleading. We had a tough winter, but March, our snowiest month, has been in the 70s most days. And I'd rather go through 75 inches of quickly melted Great Plains snow than 75 inches of never-melts-until-it-turns brown winter-long snow that you'll find in the upper midwest and northeast.

Is Flagstaff AZ not big enough to be called a city?

There's some small cities on there that equal the pop. in and around Flagstaff, which gets 99 inches a year on avg.

I agree that list is a total joke, and barely scratches the surface for snowy cities.

Any list that uses city-proper population is going to be deceiving.

2011-2012 happened to be a very unusual winter for us in Minnesota. We had no snow on the ground on Christmas, and the neighbors are outside cleaning there boats and getting ready to take them out for a ride

Chicago got 19", but it all fell in 3 storms of between 6" and 7" each, and then it all melted away within 48 hours each time. We barely saw snow on the ground for more than about 7 days this whole winter.

Now it's in the mid 80's with flowers and leaves out, people sunning by the lake, running in shorts and t-shirts.

We're going to be in for a very rude awakening if it ever gets back down to the norm of 45 degrees for this time of year. We've been up in the 70's and 80's for weeks now, and the only cool down is into the 60's for this weekend.

This winter has been pathetic, snow wise. First winter in fort collins was much tamer than i thought it would be, and when i went back home, there was nothing and it was 50 degrees. I think it's been one of the warmest winters I can remember of, nowhere i've been has had any snow or cold. Lists like this usually suck anyway and i dont have high expectations for them, so\ waste of time

Here too across Lake Michigan. We haven't had snow on the ground for a couple weeks and we never had very much this year anyway. I have been itching to get the boats out, and this week they are ready to go now. The docks have been in around here for almost a month already... NEVER seen that before. I don't think we ever had more than 6 or 8" on the ground at any time this year in my area.
