60s in the late summer with a breeze is definitely chilly. It's even chilly in Chicago in late July or early August. I was in Atlanta last year around the fourth and it was pretty cool at night. Fast foward an hour in Columbus and it was night and day.
In your opinions, but like I said earlier, this is the first I've ever heard those temps described as chilly. Cool and chilly aren't necessarily the same thing. It sounds like y'all are just abnormally sensitive to night air.
Bill never misses a chance to bash Houston even though he's obviously pretty clueless about it and lives thousands of miles away in another region of the country.
Sure thing. I can honestly say it has been a year since I have been back, But you have no idea what you are talking about. I spent way more time there (my largest client was there) than should be legal. Over the span of several years, I spent 2 weeks a month there. So spare the "he doesn't know Houston nonsense. I probably know it better than you do.

Houston summer is much worse...Houston is much more vulnerable to hurricanes and is usually a good ten degrees hotter than Atlanta. In Houston, the actual temperature reaches 100 degrees...in Atlanta, it's usually the heat index that does.
Houston in the summer is akin to Minneapolis in the winter. No thank you.

I'm not sure anyone was offering you anything.
And Atlanta is more vulnerable to tornadoes. What does this have to do with the summer?

Nope not sensitive as I never spoke ill about it. Just speaking in relative terms. In the summer time, 60s is consider chilly especially in the summer.

I didn't mean sensitive in a negative way, just that maybe you're more "keen" to temperature changes from the night and day.
But my point still stands. Be it summer, winter, spring, or fall, I've never heard anyone describe 60s/70s as chilly, until I came in this thread. Cooler, but not chilly.
I see. Well, Houston's hurricane season begins in spring and lasts until fall, I believe, so that's still only partly relevant to this subject. Both cities are rather susceptible to damaging weather.
