NY is a heavy hitter for its size IMO. Half of TX in Dallas area and half of CA in SF Bay. Since last years list http://www.forbes.com/forbes-400/list/

California +2
Texas +2
Florida +1

Illinois -1
New York -3

Manhattan by itself puts everywhere to shame.

Its interesting how different NY is from over here. In NYC most of the billionaires live in Manhattan even though there are scores of super rich suburbs all around it.

In the Bay Area, its a little more even split with about a third of the region's billionaires being SF residents and two thirds being suburbanites.

1 out of every 142,040 is a billionaire in Wyoming.
1 out of every 438,278 is a billionaire in California.

I don't think California is a winner at all.

Though I agree that if you aren't a billionaire, it has no affect on your life, I don't think this was done on a "winner vs. loser" basis....

Fort Worth seems to have a ton. Seems to have the most in Texas.

Counted 13 for Houston
