ATL and DC have probably about an equal amount of buppies. NYC...not so much.
I know you wish that were the case, but according to the census (you know, that annoying thing called facts?), you are so comically off-base.
ATL having an equal amount as DC? ATL having more than NYC? NYC trumps Atlanta when it comes to high income households (and one can assume these high income households are compromised of professionals), even by per-capita measure.

A buppie is a cultural thing, not a monetary one per se.
I know plenty of people who make a lot of money and are far from being buppies, and I know people who make a moderate income and are as buppie as you can get.
