New Orleans is by far my favorite for all categories. Cities that I would live in are Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, San Diego, Seattle, Austin, St. Louis, and Jacksonville.

Which are your favorites to visit?

Salt Lake City
Denver
Portland - haven't been but dying to go

Which ones would you most like to live in?

Same three:
Salt Lake City
Denver
Portland

Which do you think have the best future? This can be population growth, economic vitality, or just becoming a more vibrant, livable place.

Austin
Raleigh
Denver

I think those three are can't miss for a bright future. Through Charlotte in there too.

I've only seen Minneaplis-Saint Paul and Las Vegas, but I've heard that these others are nice and I'd like to visit them sometime.

The Minneapolis area has over 3,650,000 in the CSA. It does not meet the criteria for a mid sized metro according to the criteria for this topic...

Jacksonville is an interesting one. If I had to move there I could make it work, but if I had a choice? Nah...I'd do Orlando and Tampa first.

Houston is way too big for the category of metros we're talking about.
