Default If you can mash 2 cities together into one, which would they be? And what aspects of each?

LA's sunshine and beaches with half of it utilizing an urban feel of NYC but more of a modern start. In other words, half L.A. would be a metropolis but it would unique in that it will have it's own architecture. And also the transit system and the lack of having to rely on cars.

Also the mountains and a giant statue angel(city of angels).

That would be weird. Why?

Though the mix of evergreen trees and palm trees would be awesome! It would definitely trip me out.

As for this thread

Washington DC - Political Power and diversity and integration of the suburbs
NYC - Almost everything, urbanism, diversity of the city, economic power

It would be the closest thing we'd have to a center of the universe, and that's no hyperbole. It would be Moscow, Paris, London, etc. of the United States

San Francisco and Los Angeles - the endless, vast quality and diverse neighborhoods of LA with the urban cohesiveness of SF. Throw in DC or NYs public transit system for my perfect city.

^ I was going to say LA and SF too.

Or LA and NY. That would be awesome.

I'd want to mix New York City and San Francisco together.

I'd have this mix adopt San Francisco's anti-chain store law so that there will be less chains and more locally owned businesses. I'd take New York's summer combined with San Francisco's winter so there will be no snow, but summer time will be hot and won't get the cold air from the bay. I'd also combine both cities buildings and population together and I think they would get along well. Both are hipster cities and then it would become a super hipster haven. Then this double city would have both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Golden Gate bridge, many more bridges for fun. I'd also have San Francisco's street cars too added into NYC to add more transit options, not just subways. San Francisco would also when combined would also bring their tech knowledge and industries to this double city, and combined with NYC's finance, fashion, media etc it would be a very well rounded city with lots of strengths and few weaknesses.

Chicago and San Diego or Chicago and Honolulu. Basically a big city with near perfect weather. I like how Chicago's transit system is mostly above ground, would make for great views while traveling around a tropical/Mediterranean version of Chicago with an amazing skyline, mountains, and the ocean.

It would be awesome to have views on Metra like on the Coaster commuter Rail in SD heading into the Loop.
