Wow, I cant believe this site. Best city in "Getting around" category is Portland and for "Holidays and seasons" categorty is San Diego. I lived in San Diego and it does not deserve by any means best "Holidays and seasons". It doesn't even deserve second place for best "Quality of life". I wouldn't believe or follow this site at all by the fact that it's an American Express published site.

Do some research on your own! San Francisco doesn't even have a population of 800,000! that really shows the REALITY of how favorite this city is. Read who publishes this site and you will loose all credibility.

I don't care about your observations. Everybody is different. Not everybody thinks Chicago pizza is the best or that New York city pizza is the greatest but people argue about it all the time. It's just pathetic. Speak what you think! but don't bash Los Angeles because it has grown to be the countrys second largest city. Los Angeles faces many problems but it still manages to overcome them. Unlike New York, Los Angeles was not meant to be one of the countries largest cities but it has and its trying to surpass the conflicts that come with them. I would not love Los Angeles so much if I hadn't moved here from San Diego.

I agree with this but you can't blame these people for not doing so. Theres too much to see in Los Angeles. I could not visit everything in a mere four day visit to Los Angeles.

You are a complete idiot. How pathetic are you?? you talk a lot of crap on how "NYC and Chicago are better cities than Los Angeles" but you still manage to spend a great deal of time on this forum. I hardly spend any time on this forum, I'm out in my city enjoying life rather than bashing others online.

I live in Los Angeles (and love it) and visit San Francisco quite often (and love it). Each is different from (and in many ways, complementary to) the other.
It is not a binary equation that if you love LA, you must hate San Francisco, or vice versa. It seems that some people on this forum can be very myopic. "A is the best", or "X is better than Y".
[B}I understand that internet forums are not necessarily the best places to discuss the details of what makes cities special[/b], but both LA and San Francisco offer a lot to both residents and visitors. I'm constantly discovering new places to see and do here AND in San Francisco.
But whatever, I'll go back to observing now. Let me know when this post reaches 50 pages. One question: What does the poll winner get?
Exactly!!!!! this poll has reached 39 pages! and it's usually the same people arguing. If you love your city so much then go off and enjoy it rather than fight with complete strangers online!! I love Los Angeles and I would much rather spend my time out there in the city than here arguing with people who have no lives.
So what does the winner get? a pat in the back? good job!

Not that many people can stand the heat in the SFV, Simi Hils, or Santa Clarita. I don't want to deal with the heat after driving through desert once I left Texas.
what, are the palm trees made out of plastic or something?
close?
only if you consider light years close.
no, lol. last time i visited, i was told that, given the climate, palm trees are not native to SF. they do seem to fare pretty up there though.
