Anyhow, the question is pretty much answered, right? Toronto is a very cosmopolitan city that's seeing huge growth, but it is far from the same tier as New York City right now and it's unlikely to be in the same ballpark for at least a good few decades if ever. Probably the worst case scenario for global climate change where coastal cities eat it badly would make that happen, but that's no good for anyone.
