Default Which is the most genuinely friendly city in the US?

Having been to the US, I feel it is San Diego. I didn't get to spend as much time in the South as I'd like to, so I can't say too much. I'll just list the typically cited metros - New York.etc is just too polarizing.

Indianapolis should be on the list and i would put it in the top 5 for most friendly cities.
Super Bowl 46 was a great event that showcased Hoosier Hospitality
Hoosiers are some of the most civilized and friendly people around. They litterly go out of their way to help you.

Would you contrast them with those from the Buckeye State?

Twin Cities could have also been included. Have you heard the term "Minnesota Nice"?

I voted New Orleans. The residents are used to tourism and the culture itself is hospitable.

I have always heard that it is Nashville.

Why is Nashville not on the list?

And Atlanta for that matter?

From my personal experiences, it would be Indianapolis. But it's not on the list.

Of the list, I'd say it's Houston. Easily.

Also:
a) San Diego is "hey wow, man" nice - living there, from friends, is another story.
b) list was correctly constructed in that it omitted Seattle, Portland and Minneapolis - politeness is not friendliness.
c) SLC is nice, because you can't convert someone by being mean to them.

I find the Midwest friendlier than the South.

The friendliest cities Ive ever been to are Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Oklahoma City.

For major cities, Chicago was extremely friendly as was Minneapolis. In the South, Houston is friendlier than either Dallas or Atlanta.
