I love em all, but I'm gonna have to say the East Coast because the East Coast & the South overlap so it includes Boston, NYC, Philly, AC, Baltimore, DC, Virginia Beach, Savannah, Orlando, Miami, Key West, etc.

The West Coast comes in 2nd place, the rest of the South comes in 3rd and the Midwest comes in 4th.

You make it seem as if somebody built it. But it seems like that's what all people on the West Coast care about. No wonder East Coast states are more educated.

Who was comparing 1 state to 10 states?

Keep in mind that California is so large it dominates the West Coast, if it was on the East Coast it would extend from Massachusetts to South Carolina/Georgia.

As far as natural beauty goes..............West Coast
As far as urban living goes...................Northeast
As far as cheap urban living.................Midwest
As far as American hell goes.................South

I don't really think of the US as regions as far as livability goes. I love urbanity, so I tend to think only of cities, regardless of where in the US it is. The only places I could live in the US right now are NYC, Chicago, or San Francisco.
