I understand you are an Indy fangirl, but:

1) You are clearly cherry-picking data, as Indy is 6/10 for poverty at the MSA level, which you ignored.

2) Why is it "nice" that Indy beats Chicago in per capita GDP (by only a small amount)? What does it matter? It's about as useless as pointing out that Chicago has a total GDP greater than 5x that of the Indianapolis metro area. Further, per capita GDP and being a stronger economy do not necessarily have a causational relationship, so you are drawing unfounded conclusions.

I don't see how? If you look at the Metro area rates, Indy is in the middle. The city rates shouldn't really matter.
