Yeah, and look at all those Parking Lots, empty green space, wide boulevards, poor street frontage of buildings, little density outside of a few splotches.

plus I gave a link to C&W that is very reputable in terms of compiling office space figures. If you shun these then you must also shun your links as they absolutely no less reputable

Oakland and UCity are both large centers, Ucity appears larger based on reputable source (though doesnt make the marketing claim)
Oakland has 100K employees plus 20K residents....that 50K number tossed out there is just the University of Pittsburgh number....

Now find me the official publications that state the same of KOP or UCITY....
Yeah, okay. I just post a bunch of ACTUAL STATISTICS on population and employment numbers and you post a bunch of claims with no statistics to back it up. HOW ARE YOU ARGUING COLD HARD FACTS?!?!?!?!?!

Center City, Philadelphia- 279,412 employees
http://www.centercityphila.org/docs/SOCC2013.pdf

Downtown, Pittsburgh- ~102,000 employees
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~blelloch/PittOakland.pdf

University City, Philadelphia- ~70,000 employees
The State of University City 2012/13

Oakland, Pittsburgh- 55,000 employees
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~blelloch/PittOakland.pdf

King of Prussia, PA- 55,000 employees (not including surrounding large business districts such as Conshohocken and Bala Cynwyd)
http://www.visitkop.com/wp-content/u...nualReport.pdf

The rankings of the largest business districts in PA are definitely:

1. Center City
2. Downtown Pitt
3. King of Prussia (including surrounding business districts)
4. University City
5. Oakland

No. Oakland is the 5th largest business district. Those claims have no statistics to back it up and therefore, are really nothing more than opinion.

No. I have agreed with you before and stated several times that on a Per Capita basis, Pittsburgh is impressive and can certainly compete with Philly. I'm not arguing that.

Also, those actually population statistics and employment numbers are now false? HAHAHA okay.

But those claims that Oakland is the 3rd largest business district with no numbers on population or employment to back it up is correct?!

And this still doesn't capture ALL of Oakland, as a lot of the CMU campus, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are missing.

Also, UCity is building WAYYYYYY more than Oakland, and there are plans for two buildings in UCity taller than The Cathedral, Cira South at 600+ ft and Cira II at 700+ ft. The Cathedral of Learning is the 7th tallest building in Pittsburgh at 535 ft. In Philadelphia, it would be the 14th, just behind City Hall. Pretty impressive for a city that has only had 25 years to build taller than essentially the height of the Cathedral of Learning. Yet Pittsburgh has had 87 years to build taller buildings than Philadelphia and still failed.

Tallest Buildings:

Philadelphia:

1. Comcast Center- 975 ft
2. One Liberty Place- 945 ft
3. Two Liberty Place- 848 ft
4. BNY Mellon Center- 792 ft
5. Three Logan Square- 739 ft

Pittsburgh

1. U.S. Steel Tower- 841 ft
2. One Mellon Center- 725 ft
3. PPG Place- 635 ft
4. Fifth Avenue Place- 616 ft
5. One Oxford Center- 615 ft

Buildings under construction over 300 ft:

Philadelphia- 4

Buildings proposed to be constructed over 300 ft

Sugarhouse Casino Hotel towers- two 300 ft towers

Also, when these two are built, University City will have two taller buildings than Oakland.

Cira Centre South- 600+ ft- depending on height, could be taller than EVERYTHING in Pittsburgh besides two buildings
http://planphilly.com/uploads/media_....501.480.s.jpg

...and Cira II- 700+ ft- again, depending on height, could be taller than EVERYTHING in Pittsburgh besides ONE building
http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...1/IMG_1365.jpg

Pittsburgh cannot compete with Philadelphia on highrises/skyscrapers... and Pittsburgh had an 87 year head start to build tall since you could not build taller than City Hall in Philadelphia until 1987, and Philadelphia is STILL outshining Pitt in the skyscraper/highrise category.
Well, it's interesting that both cities are going mostly for the Nouveau Forgettably Ugly style of architecture. It's sort of funny to be taking aesthetic cues from second tier Chinese cities.

Philadelphia certainly has one of the best Baseball stadiums, although PNC Park is definitely in a better location.

Pittsburgh and Philadelphia both have top notch football stadiums.

Wachovia Center and Consol Energy Center are pretty similar.

For MLB attendance, Phillies always rank towards the top: Philadelphia is number 5. Pittsburgh Pirates are towards the bottom at number 23
2013 MLB Attendance - Major League Baseball - ESPN

For NFL attendance, both tend to rank well, Philadelphia still tends to rank higher though. In 2012, the Eagles were much higher in attendance than the Steelers. Philadelphia: ranked number 13. Pittsburgh ranked number 25
2012 NFL Football Attendance - National Football League - ESPN

In NHL attendance, again, Flyers rank higher than the Penguins. Philadelphia ranked number 4. Pittsburgh ranked number 12
2012-2013 NHL Attendance - National Hockey League - ESPN

Pittsburgh doesn't have a basketball team, so Philadelphia ranks higher on that.

Pittsburgh doesn't have a Major League Soccer team either, so Philadelphia ranks higher on that.

seriously you can't find anymore information on UCity number of jobs other than that Pamphlet vaguely claiming 70K jobs....something more concrete would be nice.

Seriously you're comparing KOP jobs to Major Central Business Districts? Take away the Mall and KOP drops significantly..I would like to see the GDP that these locations all produce that also plays a role.
