Two stars in the Middle East. Both are on the Persian Gulf. Both have massive skylines. Yet there are differences. Abu Dhabi is going to have a Louvre and a Guggenheim in addition to its own museum on the Middle East where as Dubai appears to be more of a resort city. Which do you think is more prominent overall?
Neither pictures do those skylines justice. I suggest doing an image search of Dubai's. It's simply mind blowing. Makes NYC look like has a skyline comparable to Phoenix.
1) City vs. City or "place vs. place" discussions where the discussion is comparing one place to another, or comparing specific things/amenities/attractions cities have compared to others, etc. Threads that are specific to just one city or place are not appropriate for this forum. (In other words, no threads like "What does everyone think of my hometown?") Compare U.S. or North American cities to one another, but please, do not post "XX USA vs XX Middle East" types of threads - you simply cannot compare American cities to "world" cities accurately. We will however, allow city vs city if the two are in the same world region (such as two European cities compared to one another, etc). City-specific topics belong in the room that is assigned for that city or state.
ughhh the world form has some interesting characters i tell you
Back on the UAE discussion, this is a big reason why Dubai wins
I've never seen their lightrail system. That's quite impressive! It seems to me kind of like an L.A./New York type thing emerging; Abu Dhabi has the reputable museums whereas Dubai has all of the shine. Interestingly enough NYU recently opened a campus in Abu Dhabi.
You do realize this is posted in the "US forums " correct? Now last time I checked, those places are NOT in the US
Are you sure? I thought Haliburton's headquarters is in Dubai...
