yeah i love how NYC's skyline really stretches across city/state lines. There are so many satellite cities around which are coming of age too. JC really is becoming impressive, as is white plains!
The biggest bunch of baloney I have ever heard! Miami had a skyscraper boom simply because there is a finite amount of land with waterviews in the city. Drug money? As far as I know drug kingpins build mansions not skyscrapers! Somebody must be watching Scarface way too many times!
no its a fact that the money the police brought into the city from drug raids helped build up Miami.
In terms of height and diversity of architecture, Chicago all the way. However, in terms of number of buildings, sheer size of the skyline, and location, I think New York takes the lead. They're both beautiful in their own ways.
Quite honestly I get bored talking about the huge cities and their skylines. I mean, it's like once they get big like Chicago, Miami or NY people should just stop counting and not even care which one is bigger or better.
I'd rather talk about the midsize cities that can rival these huge cities in the near future. Cities with skylines like Charlotte, Minneapolis, and Austin are cities that have growing skylines and I can see them rivaling with the largest and best very soon.
Then there are cities like San Francisco, Houston, Los Angeles, Dallas and Seattle who are just a few supertalls away from being some of the largest in the world. I think it interests me the most to see which one of these cities' skylines can grow significantly in the next few decades.
