No it won't. Nobody walks in Arlington. Why would they walk in Tysons Corner??? Nobody's going to walk in Reston either.

LOl.

People will still drive in their spare time. Sorry. There's NOTHING TO WALK TO besides taking the metro to and from work.

No, wrong again. Braddock Place does offer parking, and no, people are not typically walking around Northern VA to get to work.

They have this amazing invention called a car, which if you ever visited Northern VA, you would see is quite common there.

No, New Rochelle has many nice, modern apartment buildings. Trump Tower is not even a regular apartment building, and is not the largest or newest. Retail in New Rochelle is vastly better than in Ballston or Bethesda (Bethesda barely has retail to even compete).

And Stamford? They're building 10,000 apartments in one development alone. Stamford blows anything in DC out of the water. They have the world's largest hedge fund, the world's largest trading floor, etc.

This is all wrong. White Plains has more luxury type apartment buildings than Ballston or Bethesda, has far more restaurants and shopping, and does not attract lots of trashy people. You're just making up stuff because you got caught finding that NYC area does have more urban suburbs, then whatever urban suburb I name you will automatically call "ghetto" to disqualify.

How about these suburbs? All nicer than Bethesda or Ballston, all have lots of nice apartments, restaurants and the like, and I'm only looking at Westchester and Fairfield counties. Are you going to claim these are too ghetto too?

Greenwich
Darien
Westport
New Canaan
Rye
Scarsdale
Hartsdale
Larchmont
Mamaroneck
Bronxville
Tuckahoe
Dobbs Ferry
Pelham
Tarrytown
Hastings
Oh jeez. Of course there is a ton of great suburbs in the NYC area with cute downtowns and plenty of nice restaurants. Who is disputing that? But none of them (with the possible exception of White Plains) offer the kind of high quality vertical housing options (or as convenient access into the city, for that matter) that you get in some of the DC suburbs. What is so hard to understand?

Here, let me cut and paste my original statement in case you have forgot what the hell you are arguing against:

If you want to dispute this statement then name one decent NYC suburb (other than White Plains) that has an array of modern luxury apt buildings within walking distance of conveniences and rail that is available in Bethesda and the Ballston-Clarendon corridor. Otherwise, if you want to argue against a straw-man then go bark at someone else.

Why even bother, he's already made up his mind that they won't pass this so-called "urban test".

Right... and they all rent condos they don't live in at Braddock Place, so they can get access to the parking!

The only thing weaker than your sarcasm is your grasp on reality.
