Both are good, but Boston is smaller and thus is faster to get around.

Chicago, but both are pretty well known.

has better educational institutions?
Both have lots of universities and CCs, but Boston has the edge for prestige what with Harvard.

Depends what you consider a "good" climate. Both have their share of rain. Boston is a little less extreme.

I wouldnt even put Boston in the top 10 for nightlife. For a city like, its nightlife is sorely lacking.

and youre saying Chicago by a hair? Thanks for the chuckle.

Some of these I know are subjective, but I just want to know what you think? You can explain your answers if you want too. I may be moving to one of these 2 cities in the next year, so Im interested to read your opinions.
My two cents*

Better nightlife: Chicago
Better public transportation: Chicago
Better job market: Boston
Better well known internationally: Chicago???
Better educational insititutions: Boston
Better climate: Boston

* now worth about 16 cents with inflation

Boston & Chicago are two of my favorite cities. It's hard to decide.
