That Fort Lauderdale pic sure looks like Miami (Brickel district) to me. Fort Lauderdale is not that big or dense. I get what you are saying though.

I agree with Fort Worth. Also:

Providence
Hartford
Buffalo
Salt Lake City
Baltimore

The biggest city that gets a surprisingly low amount of City-Data flare is Detroit (even though it gets plenty of negative attention, I don't see its city boosters peek out all that often).

Louisville is the first city that came to mind when I saw the title of this thread. For a largish metro area, you don't really hear about it that much. It doesn't help that the city doesn't have pro sports.

Also, Birmingham.

Was going to make a case for Detroit earlier but abandoned it.

People are quick to point out the bad, but Detroit's good is often overlooked.

I never hear Detroit mentioned in Music discussions, in travel discussions, food, skyline, etc etc
