Do any of those cities have an area like Rock Creek Park cutting through the city right near the core? Just wondering? How about Military bases? You see, these kind of sites are never accurate because they lack the capacity to impute variables. Sprawling cities like L.A. benefit from this because there is no massive open space or uninhabited land in the core of L.A.

10,000 Ft mountains are pretty effective at breaking development. Boston has the Common, and the Charles River park, and the Charles River, Oh and the Ocean

Yeah Fairmont is bigger in Philly, plus a huge port and refinery set in the 5 mile radius

These things effect everywhere, for LA it is mountains or the ocean depending on how far you go

Looks like my first go round was limited to just PA

5 Miles radius is 900K
10 Mile radius is 2.2 million

Just an FYI, if you run this dont filter on state if others come into play

leave the state blank it filters to only the state. I did this in my orginal calcs for Philly and only included PA population
