Right. All of Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, but only parts of Houston.

Clearly DEN because it's legal there. People often smoke pot outside bars and on the streets. It's about as common as someone whipping out a cigarette at a bar in the smoking area. Most are just smoking bowls outside. It's pretty cool because when I was there for Oktoberfest people seemed really responsible about it.

Nobody cares about anything in SFO, so that would be #2. LA I'd say is #3 because there are a ton of open spaces and if you get caught it's basically like getting a speeding ticket.

A lot of people smoke on the east coast but it's viewed as borderline criminal in many states so I wouldn't say any are "stoner friendly."

Well, definitely nothing to do with the LDS church...which I'm apparently forbidden to make jokes about.

LOL that sucks! I've read a little about the tightening in Houston about smoking bud, but I assume it's average in comparison to most cities.
But yea here in San Antonio it's laid back to it, and people really don't care whether you do smoke or not .. in fact a lot do! lol Man and talk about "a lot" Austin is a Pothead City no doubt!

Is Portland more pot friendly than Seattle? I would think with legalization Seattle would be the clear choice, but imagine Portland is not far behind.

I think I voted for Philly as wishful thinking, but out of the major East Coast cities it is probably the most lax. There is only a fine for having up to 30 grams here and smoking outside is usually never an issue.

Generally speaking, Seattle's a little more corporate, where Portland's a little more laid back. So even though it hasn't yet been legalized in Oregon, it's not far off. Oregon decriminalized it in 1973, and allowed medical marijuana in 1998, the same year as Washington. They hadn't decriminalized it, until they legalized it.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. I'll get to Seattle and Portland soon enough to see for myself.

How the hell has Sacramento not been mentioned in this thread? If you're buying from a dispensary in Sac you're a square lol, you can get literally the same quality on the street (or by knowing one of the tens of thousands of growers) for sometimes less than 1/2 the price.
