Those are all well known brands Matt, but this one RIM, is it REALLY based in Dallas? Because I couldn't find its headquarters so I didn't know where to put BlackBerry. I believe RIM was based in Ontario, Canada?
It's not a bad thing but its similar to what kidphilly mentioned about IKEA and SAP and their North American HQs being there but I can only give credit if the main HQ is in Dallas but its in Canada.
With that being the case, Dallas has no problems with its cos, it's one of the best cities in the world for powerful high market capitalized cos. Truly a beast IMO.

No there is no aspect where Phily gets a pinch of credit for Swedish based IKEA the furniture store OR SAP software programming based in Germany. Do you work with SAP? If so what division? Functional or technical? FICO or ABAP? I work in SAP here in AMD, so I'm just curious.
Credit is given to where brands are based and SAP is based in Germany, saying otherwise or insisting otherwise is dishonest.

And no, I do Pharmaceutical marketing and management consulting, prior life was brand marketing/management in Pharma and prior to that marketing analytics and prior to that finance and financial analytics.
Rochester NY has Kodak (thought it has seen better days) and Bausch & Lomb with world headquarters. Xerox was started here and still has more of its employees and its R&D here even though it is technically headquartered in Connecticut.
