Both are growing cities/metros and have a lot going for them. If money weren't an option which would you choose between; a growing city (area) in the Central Plains with Ozarks and Arkansas River or the far up Pacific Northwest with its high mountain ranges and the Gulf of Alaska/Pacific Ocean. Which of the two cities do you find better in terms of 1. Location, 2. Scenery/Outdoor activities, 3. shopping, 4. more diverse, etc... Personally I like both but lean more towards Anchorage. But what do you think???

It's not the weather that bugs me. I don't think I'd like the overall lack of diversity in Anchorage. Also, Tulsa isn't as isolated...or at least it doesn's seem that way lol

To live - Tulsa
To visit - Anchorage

Anchorage is by far the more beautiful city but its just too isolated to be a real living option for me.

1. Location - Tie - this is all personal preference. Some might consider the exoticness of Alaska their ideal location while others might hate the isolation
2. Scenery/Outdoor activities - Anchorage
3. shopping - Tulsa, anchorage doesn't have much. Tulsa, for its size, has extensive shopping. Shopping in Tulsa puts Oklahoma City to shame
4. more diverse - Tulsa. Tulsa has a huge arts and LGBT community. I'm not sure about Anchorage.

I think Tulsa wins overall over Anchorage.
