From my travels.

Miami. Similar architecture, celebrity culture, beach culture.

Houston. Sprawled development, freeways through the city look similar. Very similar demographicly.

Pheonix. Some parts of Phoenix look like Central LA.

Las Vegas. Similar to IE, and celebrity culture.

The average neighborhood in central/south LA is somewhere between east oakland and little havana.

I think LA is its own animal, really no other city like it, not even San Diego

None. Leave it at that.

Don't know why people become so obsessed with being like another when they haven't even reached their own potential yet (Miami, Houston, Phoenix).

Also like someone else mentioned, San Diego is very much different than Los Angeles. Culturally, it feels more like a mix of midwest and California, with a subtle international flair to it.

Don't know why in hell Washington DC is on the poll.

Don't think it's nearly that simple...

But maybe if you say: LA is Miami + Oakland + Houston + Phoenix + Chicago + Seattle + San Diego, all divided by 4, + a pinch of NYC, a sprinkle of Seoul, and a teaspoon of Mexico City

...then maybe I'd be more inclined to agree.

Oh yeah--and add a tablespoon of Sao Paulo for good measure.

Sounds about right, maybe throw a Mediterranean city in the mix?

West Palm kinda looks like parts of middle-class LA.
