Well when we start talking about entertainment capital of the world i think that LA starts to slip a little in the rankings. Then you are throwing London, Paris, New Delhi, Tokyo, & Seoul into the mix as well
Not all the parent companies are based in NY (iirc most aren't) and that isn't much of an argument anyway. The movie studios are what count and the vast majority, in all sizes, are based in LA.
As for music, a study was done a few years ago determining where musicians flocked to. Los Angeles topped every genre but Country (2nd place) , Christian (5th) and Jazz (2nd) . Pretty strong hint as to where the music capital is located.
At the very least NYC and LA are tied as music capitals.
Exactly... Sure, LA makes movies, games and music... But if I was to visit LA, what would that mean to me? Nothing.
What am I gonna do? Walk through a office building that houses cubicles of video game developers?
Yeah... Sounds real entertaining.
AH its you again trying to prove that gambling trailer park in the middle of the desert is superior to Los Angeles.
if you were to visit you would find infinitely many things to do and see for all ages, Vegas is a 21 and older place, even Vegas's gambling and nightlife can be matched by other cities in the US, its really nothing special, even some might argue that LA has better nightlife, or than NYC has better nightlife than Vegas. As far as gambling goes, i wouldn't care if i was playing poker at the Bellagio, or in my dining hall, all the same, its no different.
what you can do in Vegas you could easily do in LA, what you can do in LA you will never be able to do in Vegas. period

dont even try to argue sports...
You're right... A good chunk of the Strip is 21 and up... Yet it still attracts far more people to it every year than the all-ages Disney garbage you have there... Hah. Have fun with that.
Oh, and please don't talk about poker and say that LA and Vegas are on the same level... Or gambling at all, for that matter. You look ridiculous.
Hey, next time you're down at the casino, can you place a bet for me for the Super Bowl -- Oh that's right... You can't.
Do you still want to stick with the "what you can do in Vegas, you can do in LA" story?

Speaking of sports... You were PRETTY confident last time that LA is getting an NFL team in '15... How's that working out for you guys?
Like I said before... NO NFL team will play in that DUMP of a stadium you call the coliseum. No NFL even wants to temporarily play there while a stadium gets built lol.
You know your stadium blows when the O.Co Coliseum and Qualcomm are better options.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. Whether LA has an NFL team or not, it doesn't take away the fact that the city has a team or teams for a variety of different sports.

Actually it does considering the last time there was an "entertainment capital" thread, plllllenty of Californians were gloating about the Coliseum. I simply think it is nothing to brag about considering the fact that current NFL teams would rather stay in awful stadiums than move their team into the even worse Coliseum.
Sure, LA has other sports options... I would certainly hope so since it's population is nine times more than Las Vegas.

So you're bringing up the Coliseum (the person you quoted didn't even bring it up) because it was brought in a separate thread? Looks like you're mentioning the Coliseum simply because you want an attempt to take jabs. It's a little pathetic.

Instead of using the size excuse, ask yourself why Orlando has a pro team and Las Vegas does not.
As for tourism, a good chunk of that comes from visiting Angelenos. You're welcome.
