I voted NYC for numerous reasons. 1. I'm from there originally, and lived there for 12 years.
2. I'm a huge fan of mainly NYC sports teams (except college sports, and NFL).
3. Less Liberal then SanFran.
4. Even though, I'd be a misfit, culturally in BOTH cities, I have much more in common with NYC then SanFran.

Though, I do thank SanFran for Train, gift from G-d.

I love New York, but I have to go with San Fran. NYC is culturally aware, SF is culturally curious. NYC is ubber urban to the 100th degree; overtly crowded, somewhat dirty, and drastic disparities between the boroughs (e.g., Manhattan vs Bronx). San Fran on the other hand is breathier, open, prettier, spacier and eye candy.

Both are great, but I'd easily go with NYC.

NYC.

Things that take a few months to get done in the New York take decades in the bay area (check lagging BART expansion, for example).

Depends on what you like I guess - but few cities have the wow factor of New York. Really does any city have the wow factor of NYC. I doubt it. New York!
