I think this list probably just shows which cities where people did house hunting the most, but then again if that was the case I would assume Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta would be the top 3, not sure what they based it on.

This statement is no different than all the questionable polls that people keep posting.

1. make statement using questionable facts - no facts at all also works - as evidence.
2. compile list.
3. ???
4. profit.

Young people on CD are't a good indication of where the majority of people who want to move somewhere to buy a house and start a family want to go. The above list is a great list of so-called "cultural" meccas fine for 20 somethings to rent in, usually with roommates, and be transient. That list sucks for buying a house, property taxes, having a yard, with the exception of a few cities. People have been moving to Phoenix and Las Vegas by the hundreds of thousands for over 40 years now and it's for a better quality of life. A long term quality of life not determined by barely making it just so they can say they live close to "________"(insert your snottiest coastal city here). If you can't live an interesting life in any large city you need your entertainment spoonfed to you. 9 out of 10 who take the road to bohemia and end up in San Francisco or Portland just hang out at bars, parties, and just observe and discuss other people really creating culture. You can be on the forefront of of art in Omaha, if you have it in you, otherwise you're typically another artist/waiter in Manhattan hanging around for a few years.

Good list I would probably add Vegas to the list.

Odd. I'm also in the "younger generation", and I chose Pittsburgh. Apparently since our "younger generation" demographic is growing many others agree.
