Economy....is there an "economy" of Staten Island
Food....how do the culinary scenes compare

For me, this is like comparing chocolate cake to a chair.
One can compare the two but what's the point?

You are comparing an entire sprawling boomtown sunbelt city to a middle class suburban borough of NYC without context to the rest of the greater NYC area?

I think the poll clearly reflects that.

It will probably be a city of over 1 million in 15-20 years if current growth rates continue

Staten Island is like New York's Northeast Philly in a way. You can't compare it to a city.

Charlotte's days of annexing are over so, it's only a matter of time before the city starts struggling with natural population growth, healthy property tax revenues, tax increases, etc... That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the city's population stabilizes and perhaps starts to decline a bit.
