New York City is at 91 murders as of April 28. Might be lower than Chicago's total year to date?

Nashville at 10 now. I'm guessing we'll see an uptick, though, since it's getting warm. Still, an amazingly low number so far.

Chicago is at 96 through the end of April, down from 162 a year ago. Apparently first time since 1963 that we haven't hit 100 murders before the end of April.

The past three months have been solidly below anything last year.
February
2012: 29
2013: 14
March
2012: 52
2013: 15
April
2012: 41
2013: 24

Actually Philadelphia is at 82 as of 4/28. But I'm POSITIVE we're ending up with less than 250. I'm also sure that the census undercounted Philly and the real population is over 1.6 million, not 1.5

Let's see if London can stay under 100 again: 28 up to the end of April, up from 24 at the same point last year when we ended up with 97.

So some of the big US cities..it looks like:

Chicago: 96 (might be 97 actually now)
NYC: 91
Philadelphia: 82

What's LA, Houston, etc at? I'm guessing at least half as much as the three above but who knows.
