Looks like bith Sf and Sj do better as msa rather than csa in raw numbers

Probably because the CSA includes the outer suburbs of the North and East Bay, where it is far from the high tech jobs of the Silicon Valley/SF and Finance jobs in SF.

Well that's because the other MSAs in the CSA are a bit more down to earth as far as economic productivity compared to SF and SJ.

On the other hand,

San Francisco & San Jose MSAs combined:
2011 Population: 6,256,000
2011 GDP $523 Billion
2011 Per Capita GDP: $83,600

Probably not gonna happen in May but its fun to hypothesize.
