-Arts- MSP
-Architecture- MSP
-Corporate Presence- Tie (both are loaded with Fortune 500 companies and even though MSP technically has fewer, it has more relative for its size)
-Scenery- MSP (lakes vs. bushes)
-Downtowns, Neighborhoods- MSP (Dallas has the biggest downtown, Minneapolis has the best one, Fort Worth is bigger than St. Paul, but the neighborhoods of St. Paul are better than all of the others)
-Transit- Tie (agree that this is a tie, DFW better rail, MSP better bus....both expanding their networks)
-Airport- Tie (I'm biased, I'm sure, but I hated DFW and MSP is just so customer-friendly and nice it's hard to call it 2nd in this scenario......DFW is larger and has more int'l flights than MSP, which is why I don't have MSP above DFW)
-Sports Stadiums- Tie (MSP has the Excel Center for hockey and Target Field for Baseball that are better than DFW; DFW has the new Cowboys stadium and American Airlines Center for the Mavs)
-Climate- DFW (technically, this is true, but I personally don't find the weather in Dallas preferable to Minneapolis whatsoever. A few days with temps in the single digits or teens is so much more preferable to a few days with temps over 100 degrees with humidity. DFW also gets chilly in the winter, unlike other Texas metros, which reduces its appeal even moreso. I'm a realist though, and realize that most people prefer stifling heat to bitter cold).

Which region do you prefer- MSP (MSP, especially for its size, is the more well-rounded metro between the two and I'd prefer living there over DFW, "hands down".....although apparently it was a close call based on these amenities. Other amenities that would make that decision all-the-easier would be education and crime).

Arts - Minneapolis
Architect - Minneapolis (though Dallas has some decent/good architecture too)
Scenery - Minneapolis
Downtowns - I don't know...
Transit - Tie
Airport - DFW by a hair. Not that much...MSP is still a decent and big airport, but DFW is bigger and goes to some surprising places a lot of people don't know..

Sports stadiums - I think Cowboy Stadium is awesome, but Excel Energy Center and Target Field are nice. I'll give the edge to Dallas though

Climate - Dallas in the winter, Minneapolis in the summer. Minneapolis summers are actually quite awesome weather-wise.

I prefer Minneapolis because of the aspects such as the arts, but Dallas is not a bad city either.
